Shorten the school waiting list period

The waiting list for schools is up to 3 months which can be a very stressful period given the shortage of places in the area. Many parents I know, including myself, have been extremely worried about the implications of their child going into different schools and I personally don't think it is very fair to allow this. There should be an automated process in place which considers the distance from school and preferences in terms of lessons taught, whether it is a single sex school or co-ed etc.

This will redcue the waiting time, reduce stress and create a fairer system that requires less time from staff.
