Create central garden areas

I have seen these proposed in other council regions - little parks in the center of town where they grow food.

Why the contribution is important

This would make the center look very beautiful, along with potentially providing opportunities for education for children.

I think this is a great idea - although there would need to be solid plans for ongoing maintenance in place. Perhaps local residents could form gardening groups to look after them?

There are some derelict /brownfield sites that would be perfect for this - I suspect they will be sold for flats and office blocks though.
