Better infrastructure for cycling

It would be really good to see some more funding going to cycling infrastructure. The roads are very car-focussed at the moment and it doesn't feel safe travelling around on my bike. Perhaps we should consider adding cycle lanes to the main roads between villages as a start.

Why the contribution is important

To ensure the safety of Arlen Hill residents and promote more sustainable modes of travelling.

I stopped cycling because I no longer felt safe, particularly with so many lorries on the roads between the villages, so I'd definitely support this. On-road cycle lanes on the main commuter routes into Arlen Hill centre would also be especially useful in encouraging cycle use and helping cyclists stay safe.

There are no safe routes to cycle into the town centre currently - the roads are clogged full of vehicles and parked cars make many roads even more dangerous. Cycle lanes and better junction design are needed.

Cycle lanes and also more designated bike parking racks

I do think we should try and prioritise cycling more and make it safer, but I think the problem with the roads between the villages is that they are not wide enough for dedicated cycle lanes.
