Better laws on rented houses

I believe we need to be knuckling down on landlords to improve the conditions of the houses, particularly for student housing. They are getting away with renting out housing in frankly quite unhealthy states. It is not good for the well-being of the tenants and just not fair.

Why the contribution is important

Improve the quality of life for many tenants and remove the risk of living in unsafe rented accommodation.

Completely agree - this is SO IMPORTANT

My daughter is currently at uni and the house is disgusting, I can't imagine living somewhere like that, and she's paying a ridiculous amount of money each month

Really important point this, landlord need to take some responsibility and provide safer and healthier homes for people to live in

I'm not a student, but I live in privately rented accommodation and the property has mould and damp that my landlord won't fix. I have a baby and it's not safe to live in. My landlord drives a massive new car and is clearly making huge profits, he needs to be made to sort out his houses.

Mould is so harmful yet many landlords brush it off as if it's nothing - it's time this sort of behaviour was stopped!
